New trams for Melbourne.
I read about a competition on Design Yearbook, to design some new trams for Stockholm.
Melbourne trams are being upgraded, so why not go with a double-decker tram while you're at it. Whilst these are not in production, I think that, besides looking great, they would solve some of the peak-hour overcrowding on city trams. I'm not clear on how they might be powered but I don't see why they couldn't use existing infrastructure given there is already a heap of headroom above Melbourne trams. Maybe this could happen (in my dreams).
